Gearbox issues on my BMW – looking for a reliable workshop

I'm having a bit of a nightmare with my BMW at the moment. The gearbox has started to feel really clunky when it shifts, especially from first to second, and there's a slight delay when I put my foot down. It's not slipping, but it's definitely not as smooth as it used to be, and I'm worried it might be the start of a more serious problem. I've heard that these ZF gearboxes can be sensitive to old fluid or sometimes the mechatronics unit starts to play up, but I'm not sure which it is. I really don't want to take it to the dealer because of the cost, so I'm looking for an independent specialist who actually knows what they're doing with these transmissions. A proper workshop will have the right diagnostic tools and technicians who understand the specific procedures for these units, rather than just guessing and hoping for the best. I'm thinking a Genuine Gearbox Repair Workshop in Abu Dhabi would be the safest bet, somewhere that can properly diagnose the issue and give me a clear idea of what needs to be done. Has anyone here had gearbox work done on their BMW and found a specialist they'd trust? I'd really appreciate some honest recommendations.
